INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL GRADUATE (IMG)

If you are an IMG from Pakistan and are applying for residency in Canada or have questions about practicing medicine in Canada, please get in touch with us with any questions you may have. We will try to answer your questions promptly.

We are also aiming to provide Pakistani IMGs with the following services:

We understand the challenge IMGs face in obtaining experience in Canadian healthcare settings before applying for medical licensure. We aim to provide observership opportunities to Pakistani IMGs through our organization to help them get Canadian experience and LORs from current working physicians.

Please obtain your educational license for observership from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and contact us. We will try to help connect you with a preceptor for an observership.

We strongly recommend that IMGs successfully pass their MCCQE1 before applying for an observership. Due to the limited number of spots, we will not be able to accommodate all IMGs; however, we will do our best to provide an opportunity to as many applicants as possible.

Residency applications can be pretty challenging, and Interviews are an essential part of postgraduate training applications. We aim to provide these services to Pakistani IMGs free of cost. 

Please get in touch with us if you require guidance on applying for postgraduate training in Canada or need assistance with interview preparation. You will be paired with a mentor who will work with you on your application and assist you with interviews.

We will be hosting periodic seminars, both virtually and in-person, to guide IMGs about routes to practice medicine in Canada, specifically British Columbia. Seminar dates and venues are to be announced in the near future.
